The entire Tube Sites debate is a touchy subject for the Adult Industry. Thousands of Webmasters, Program Owners and Content Producers understandably hate many of them, as some do post un-stamped, full length, member movies or DVD rips. But not all of them not even a majority of them, just some. Which is understandable to me, since every sector of the Adult Industry has a few bad apples, well more than a few.
Let me introduce you to Busty Amateur Maxine, found on Daily Motion. I’m sure I didn’t post this movie and since it has no Webmaster link, I’m pretty sure one of Webamsters didn’t upload it, so it must have been a paying member.
What’s interesting is how I found this video. A member, some random crazy drunk Dutchman emailed support asking for more clips, and an extra little note, which said, “I saw the other day a short video clip on DailyMotion of Maxine. So I only subscribed to watch some more clips of HER!” … Cool deal for me!
They aren’t all golden!
If you have done any Tube Marketing then you know all to well what Tubes can do to your traffic volumes and your ratios. They aren’t all created equal, they all aren’t all honest and fair, but nothing in life is.
I have heard a few Programs and Friends make this next statement, “My Webmaster Sales are down but my in-house traffic and sales continues to grow.” Yes, many factors like having your own traffic sources and search traffic could do this, however most programs use tracking codes and not direct links. Could it be possible that all that stolen content (from tubes, news, torrent, p2p and more) that we have bitched about for years could actually be the driving force for life long type-ins and net income for programs?
Fact: When my Paysites first opened 4 years ago, 100% of the sales were produced from Newsgroups, Forums and p2p. After 4 years, this in-house account continues to be the largest revenue earning account within my Program.
Who would have thunk it?
