PaycomAffiliate Program Owners know that working with cross sales, ezclicks, approval plus, and email confirmation plus will land you in a world of different confusing terms but the needed details for each is the same, making life a little easier. Setting up these extra billing services up within NATS can make things a little more complicated, a few more customizations are needed and you need to hunt down a few important and key details to complete the setup.

You can get your basic setup information about cross sales within the NATS KB, but it doesn’t fully explain all the necessary steps. So I’m going dumb this down a little as it took months of going back and forth with NATS and Paycom to get each of the different features working correctly.

 

Setup Instructions for INCOMING Cross Sales

Step1: Get Offer Codes from PayCom:
To get your Offer Codes (po_codes) email Paycom’s Client Support with the PI Code you want cross sales for. The PI Codes are the unique codes provided by Paycom when each billing option is first setup. They look like: ypoeu344s850 or babo80t3b and can be found under “Join Options this Site Offers” when editing each Website. Normally people setup incoming cross sales on the trial billing option. Once this is done, Paycom will email you back the Offer Codes for each provided billing option.

Note: In the Cross Sells Admin of NATS:
a) Offer Code: The code provided by Paycom for each cross sale.
b) Product Code: The billing code for each billing option, found when editing a Website. (examples: ypoeu344s850 or babo80t3b)

Step2: Setting Up for Incoming Cross Sales.

  1. Enter the Programs Admin with NATS and Create a New DISABLED Program? for all cross sales to belong to.
  2. Enter a Program Name and Short Name
  3. Check the box for Program is Hidden? ** This makes the Xsale Program only display on xsells.php and not codes.php.
  4. Add each main Website that will allow incoming cross sales.
  5. Set the default payouts for the Cross Sale Option by clicking the pencil. Cross Sales usually ranges from $17-$25 per sale or a percentage payout.
  6. Return to the Programs Admin: Scroll down to the Disabled Programs and find your new Xsale Program. Click the Green Arrow Icon to the right to enable this program. This allows other programs to see your Xsell offers on xells.php
  7. Go into the Cross Sells Admin: Click the Incoming Tab at the top. Select Paycom as the Biller and click Add.
  8. Enter a comment, like 1clicks. Select your **hidden xsale program**.
    a) For Offer Code Enter: Leave blank or enter the Offer Code provided to you from Paycom.
    b) Enter your Product Code: (examples: ypoeu344s850 or babo80t3b)
    c) Click Edit.
  9. Select which site this cross sale is for. Click Edit again.

Note 8a: Affiliates wanting to send cross sales on join forms will need to contact Paycom directly to acquire proper Offer Codes. Any other type of EZClick/Approval Plus method uses the your Offer Code provided by Paycom. So leaving this blank will force the Affiliate to contact you.

Step3: User Management within Paycom * You may have this done already!
The Website you are allowing Cross Sales on will need to have the User Management option ON within Paycom. This allows the Website sending you Cross Sales to pass in the Members Username & Password to your Paycom Account and Affiliate Program.

  1. Most sites already setup with NATS and using Paycom already have this feature turned on.
  2. If you are having problems or having usernames and passwords set to None/None then please check Step3 and read this NATS Article to make sure your Website is fully setup with the basic Paycom features.

Step4: Open the Xsells page and make sure this works. (xsells.php)

  1. Open: http://www.your-nats-program.com/xsells.php - Select a campaign then select the Xsale Program you created. If the program appears, verify the data is correct. If the program does not appear, read through the above steps again, you may have missed some thing.
  2. Last Step: Spam other affiliate programs that you now accept Xsales!

Webmaster NATS ID: All Xsales Webmaster ID’s within NATS start with an X.

 

Setup Instructions for OUTGOING Cross Sales

Step1: Gather the needed details.
Setting up to send others cross sales requires that you gather a few things first.

  1. Get the Product Code (examples: ypoeu344s850 or babo80t3b) from the Affiliate Program / Join Options that you are going to promote.
  2. Email Paycom’s Client Support: Request an Offer Code (po_code) for the Product Code. Include your Company ID and the Product Code from the affiliate program.
  3. Finally you will need your Webmaster ID. On NATS Programs all Webmaster ID’s for Xsales start with an X and normally can be found on the xsells.php page.

Step2: Once you have the needed details:

  1. Enter the Cross Sells Admin, select the Biller Paycom then click Add.
  2. Enter a comment/note and then the Offer Code provided by Paycom.
  3. The Offer Ref 1 is the Affiliate ID provided to you, select if this is a trial, then click edit. (free or non-rebilling Trails do not need to select this)

Making Money With Other Cross Sale / Approval Plus Methods

Make Money Online Hopfully at this point you have understanding of how incoming and outgoing cross sales work within NATS. So lets learn a few ways to earn extra green with this new found knowledge.

    a) Buttons or graphics you want placed on Emails, Paycom cancel pages, ect can not contain any nudity. Compliance will review your graphics and text.
  5. Email Paycom’s Support with the Yappo Button you saved, the modified URL below with your details, and instructions on where you would like to add it, like your cancel or signup confirmation emails.

Other NATS Programs:

NATSIf you offer cross sales to your websites you can use the above code and extend your one click services. In the above string replace the co_code and the pi_code with your own respective details.

  1. The &x_mpopt=46 is the Product Code ID. When you edit a Website within NATS, each entered billing option has a unique ID number assigned to it. ID #46 for YappoDollars is the 10 Free Minute option.
  2. The &x_mpbil=9 is the Biller ID # found within the Billers Admin. Place your mouse over Paycom’s Edit Icon and status bar will tell you the Biller ID.

That’s it, a few tweaks to the string and any NATS program can offer these extra cross sale services.

 

Placing cross sale advertisements on your join pages, signup and cancel emails, and approval or cancel pages can be an incredible way to earn additional income. However you want to be careful to not get too greedy with cross sales because of possible charge back issues.
