TorrentSpy Traffic Plunges After US Traffic Ban: “The MPAA has caused TorrentSpy, once the most popular BitTorrent site, some serious headaches. After a federal judge ordered TorrentSpy to log all user data stored in RAM, they decided to block access to US users, consequently their traffic dropped significantly.”
TorrentSpy posted some handy Alexa Stats, which shows they had a rather large drop in traffic while other Torrent sites like mininova, thepiratebay, torrentz, and isohunt had gains.
Looking at Compete though shows a different story. Complete shows an overall leveling off of the major torrent sites, with less than 1/3 of a traffic drop for TorrentSpy.
Alexa is Webmaster traffic bias, so did TorrentSpy just shut off access to a bunch of Webmasters or did the Torrent Industry finally find its traffic cap?
