This is related to my post made on Apr 22, 2008 on making an easy $1,000, so it's just a few months late. Perfection takes time, what can a man say!
One thing I love about the Adult Industry is the amount of promotional tools available too all Adult Webmasters. Affiliate Programs continually create a huge assortment of promotional tools all geared at making the Webmasters job easier and quicker, and of course making everyone more money!
When it comes to moneymaking tools, the White Label hits the top of the chart as one of the most efficient money making tools around.
Before we get into why, let's cover the basics of what a White Label is.
What are White Labels?
Keeping this simple, this is when a Sponsor creates a mirror of the site that you are going to promote directly instead of the Provided Sponsor Tours. With White labels you can customize the Websites colors, upload your own logo or headers creating your own mock-up of the Sponsors Website. Normally the Webmaster ID is hard-coded into the White Label directly. This is a huge bonus, giving you the bookmarks and the name branding!
Some Sponsors White Label systems allow you bind "Your Domain" to the White Label directly. Now you can customize keywords based on Niches of White Labels you promote, another huge bonus!
White Label systems range widely in features, customizations and what exactly they define a White Label. Always take a few minutes to hand tweak your White Labels. Sharpen up the graphics, make sure the colors match well, ask if you can get your titles, descriptions or some text changed.
What are the different types of White Label solutions?
Starting off the list is Video on Demand, Sex Shops and DVD Download sites. Then Cams of just about every type are already widely used and profits shared with Webmasters. You can even find White Labels for escorts, sexual enhancement items, phone sex numbers, chat rooms and yes even some Paysites.
Why you should use White Labels!
The simplest answer is time! In the time it takes to build a decent website you could have easily created a handful of White Labels. A few extra minutes of work on each domain has almost instant rewards for me and it can for you too.
Some Sponsors will even provide the domain(s) for you if you are an already active Webamster!
Several White Labels have Free Signups too, which can really help rack in the sales building you a larger base of returns!
How easy can it be?
The screens snap below is a total of 3 White Labels on 3 different domains I own. It took me less than 30 minutes to create all three White Labels. That little amount of time spent earned me over $1000. Not bad for 30 minutes worth of work or roughly $34 a minute for my work!
Click tracking was not setup on this domain when it was added.
How long did it take to produce the $1000?
This is a 10 month range to include rebills, but that really doesn't make a difference. If this was one week day, a month, or a year, in the end it still only took me 30 minutes to produce the Websites, which is earning $34 a minute and growing. This is on 3 Websites that I don't have to update, maintain and I don't have to do anything to get the returns marketed for me!
What did I do to market these White Labels?
All of the sales came from Search Engines, a minor amount of traffic was sent from the hand-full of clean links I gave each of these Websites from some of my more populate Websites. The first listing did have a little bit of link love created for it, which cost me a total of $200 and is paying off rather well.
Multiple White Labels:
The Statistics above are from the same Sponsor, the same White Labeled Website that was setup with a different design, color scheme, and keywords on different domains.
The results range due to the keywords within the domains. The 3rd White Label has the word "Free" in the domain name, which created a larger base of Free Signups over the other two domains.
The added volume of "Free" was worth it. The site was released first, but the income is from the Rebills. Even though the join value is lower it has earned more money because of the added Free Volume. This volume can work in your favor and sometimes not work for you at all.
Why I love'em so much!
- I don't host the main part of the White Label. Being so it isn't on one of my IP ranges or on my bandwidth bill.
- Mix that in with the ability to have multiple White Labels on several domains, some exclusive, others on sub-domains, new domains, dead sites that change over, every site type you can.
- With the mixture of White Labels you can see how they each perform allowing you to buy ads, ppc traffic, get more hard links, or create better niche links to the White Labels from various in-house traffic sources.
- Once you find or create one of those few Golden White Labels that earn you serious money, you can start buying traffic that requires direct links to the sites. Everything just plays into your favor at that point.
A Couple of BIG factors:
- First your affiliate ID is permanently attached to the Website. New sales, returns, type-ins, bookmarks, everything is yours and always will be
- Now the White Label can be hard-linked or direct linked, which is much better SEO wise than using Affiliate ID's.
White Labels on Free Sites:
Anyone running a TGP/MPG, link list, or any type of free porn site, should be blasting White Labels far heavier than any other sponsor advertisements or even the other provided promotional tools. The free site is a marketing haven for White Labels, all types of White Labels.
- Cover your related niches but use several different White Label solutions to do so.
- Link to the White Labels using anchor text that matches keywords/phrases from the White Label. Don't spam just be descriptive. Instead of My VOD, try: On Demand Amateurs if your niche was Amateurs.
- Put the links in propionate positions, such as the main navigation bar. Repeat the links throughout your footer or sidebars.
- Create your own advertisements that match your White Labels Logo and Brand.
- Change your advertisements/banners to link to your White Label solutions rather than to the provided tours, tools, and standard linking codes.
Category Pages:
Most free sites have some form of categorized sections. The gallery post often breaks down archives into niches, the blog has posting categories, and link lists often group by related domains. Each of these category pages opens a new door for a niche-related White Label.
This gives you the advantage of proper niche traffic filtering to custom White Labels, custom traffic buys, custom feeder domains, and so on. Niched, niched, niched...
White Labels on Paysite Tours and in Member Areas:
This is where the quality of a White Label plays a very important role. Paysites have a unique branding niche power which can create some amazing loyalty. So it isn't in the Paysites best interest to link off to poor White Label solutions that will simply dilute your quality buyers.
- Only select the White Label solutions that meet your exact needs and demands.
- Put the White Labels outside the member areas, so ex-members, search engine visitors and bots can easily find the White Labels.
- Some White Labels must remain private but can include cams, chat rooms, and live networks.
- Link to your public White Labels from your tours. Most tours can turn links on/off if no affiliate id is passed in or if in-house id is present, killing affiliate traffic leaks.
- Instead of exiting other programs / sponsors, try placing links or creating exit chains of your White Label solutions.
- Place links to your White Labels in your thank you and cancel emails. This may require approval of the affiliate program that owns the White Label first.
- Some White Label solutions can be integrated into your Programs Backend. Allowing you to pass on credit to your Webmasters.
Other Areas to Toss Up a White Label:
The simplest areas to use White Labels is on parked domains. This will allow the domain to actually have some pages, get spider traffic, gain traffic in general and branding before it actually is released as an active site. Setup the White Labels on sub-domains and link to them from your promotional warning page. Once you release the new site, keep the White Labels active and benefit from the branded traffic.
When you shouldn't use a White Label:
Use them when you can but sometimes, they just aren't worth it!
- When you can't find a solution that matches your niche, category, or site style.
- If within a short period of time you plan on selling the domain, however by having the White Label it could add value to the domain if it produces an income.
- If your logo, brand, colors can't be clearly and easily implemented into the White Label.
- I only use White Labels that can be bound to a domain or sub-domain. Rather than "linking code" White Labels which provide no help.
- If the White Label provider is really slow or doesn't respond back to you in a time you are happy with.
- Don't forget to error check your White Labels. Make sure your Webmaster ID passes through correctly, that you don't have broken or dead pages, and make sure the join process isn't complex. If it confuses you or is broken, you shouldn't use it.
I admit, finding and setting up White Labels for the first time isn't all that easy. Some systems are easy to use and others aren't, some allow you to add links back, and others can adjust titles and text used on the White Label. It's a big world of public and private providers, programs that won't do anything for you and others than will bend over backwards for any traffic you send.
Do not be like me and wait another year or two before you get around to using them. White Labels will make you more money. I really feel they are easily the most powerful promotional tool an Adult Webmaster can use!
