Your Website is built and the money is coming in but you know more can be done to improve sales, clicks, and overall better surfing from your visitors. But what?

That’s where a Click Heat Maps or Click Density Maps can help. Using a heat map tool you will have the ability to see exactly what each visitor is clicking on. From menus, icons, text, and blank page areas. Every spot viewable to the visitor through the browse is tracked if a click happens.

The report returns a colorful mixture of tracked clicked density much like Weather radars shows with a storm. Which is simply a mixture of colored paterns, red-x’s, or dots, representing the higher clicked areas.

Click Heat Map Example

Shortly after a installing a click heat report I was able to spot a few things.

  1. On my warning pages, some visitors click descriptive words that do not have links attached to them. Maybe mucware is presenting clickable links to surfers. I modified the text, increased some font sizes, and overall increased my click-through to tour rate by 17%.
  2. Adding in non-nude thumbs below my warning page enter links broke the flow of the page. This was a good thing since visitors were clicking the copyright, privacy, 2257, ect links. The thumbnails reduced the clicks on these bottom links by 1050%.
  3. Adding Click Heat to my tours very quickly showed major flaws. The first was my 2nd featured girl got less clicks than my 3rd or 4th featured girl. While I thought the set and thumbnails were hot, obliviously my visitors didn’t.
  4. The second flaw was ‘bad wording’ in my graphics. I had used the phrase “All of our girls” highlighted on a graphic with other text. The word “ALL” produced an astonishing amount of clicks. Even thought he graphic was not linked, visitors still clicked it.
  5. Animations, mostly arrows, play an important part of drawing in or drawing away clicks.
  6. I added the click heat tool to a hard landing page, which includes a large left menu that has price points, billing features, ect. I noticed less than 1% of the clicks happened in this area. By removing the dead menu areas and extending my main promotional menu I was able to provide visitors with better-targeted menu options, increasing the clicks on the left side of the page.
  7. Thumbnails and advertisements with nudity produced a mixture of interesting statistics.
    a. Visitors tend to click on the money spots more often.
    b. The boobs, penis based on size, the vag, or a girl’s hot face, even if it isn’t centered or fully visible receive higher click rates that other, even nude areas, of the picture/thumbnail/banner/ad.
    c. The same goes for groups of thumbnails on tours, galleries, and tgp listings. Some thumbnails simply do not produce clicks, by using a click heat report you can quickly spot this and replace the thumbnail.
  8. From changing the font types, colors, and increasing font sizes, Sites will see a mixture of increased and decreased click-through rates, clicks to the join forms, trailers, ect. Modify words on thumbnails: Such as, video trailer vs. free movie vs. movie sample – changed click rates.
  9. I knew that non-underlined links would produce lower clicks, but I didn’t think it would produce more clicks on graphics, ads, and menus. Interesting.
  10. People do scroll, look around the scrollbar areas for the broken click areas that people re-clicked the bar. Study the scrollbar area to know where your sites flow may break. If mid way down the page people seem to stop, and not click anything on the page, then something is wrong with the flow of the page.

The list could go on, take a few seconds and add a Click Heat Tool to your Website, you will quickly start compiling your own list.
