$1 billion? Well, so says TechCrunch and whoever the insider is that likes to spill the beans. Interesting to say the least, here we have one of the ‘nets largest affiliate programs taking a buy out obviously by someone with a shit load of spare cash.
$300 million a year in annual revenue! Wow. I would assume 2007 was even bigger after they purchased almost very affiliate programs exits and the “other” sources that we all know about and they continue to do so.
Looking over Alexa and Compete, you can see that between early 2005 and until late 2006 AFF had a steady up and down traffic patterns, then in 2007 up and up it went. It’s possible that AFF grew by 10-20 million unique hits monthly through this little campaign. Which would create an astounding amount of free accounts, profiles, and upgrades and of course revenue, which must look mighty nice on paper.
If the rumors are true, this should be the largest adult property ever to be sold.
