Looks like FeedBurner has, finally started merging into Google tools and services. Which is great in my eyes, more stats, more goodies... If you aren't using FeedBurner you really should be!

This morning when I logged in to check my RSS Feed Stats I noticed a little message at the top of the page that said, "Hey! We are moving FeedBurner accounts to Google. Learn more or Move your account now."

The process to move the feeds over was about as simple as it gets. Click move your account, select which Google Account you would like to merge the data with, click another button and you are done.

Reading over Google Answers gives a rather clear picture of what they are planning. They purchased FeedBurner with plans to merge it into Google. All FeedBurner accounts will be merged into your active Google account. The new Google version of Feed Burner has some new additions too, so Google is already growing the tool.

The normal Feed Burner user doesn't have much to worry about other than merging the accounts, which is a good thing. But knowing Google, as they add features and tools to FeedBurner we will all need to update to the new Google Feedburner links, to be able to use the new features. It never fails...

Maybe the Google Gods will give FeedBurner a much needed analytics update!
