Finding Inspiration through Daydreaming
It's safe to say that all self-driven people dream about what they might one day achieve. These achievements could be long-term life goals, family, great job, or your own business, whatever it may be. Often daydreams are filled with short-term goals, how it will feel to polish off a killer project, a simple vacation, or the little things that could be done to improve our lives, all in our own image and good for the soul.
Daydreaming can be a great tool, it can build motivation, it can help give you insight, and it keeps our sanity in check. When you daydream its often done because you are board or procrastinating against something. When a person daydreams the emotional state of that person is often instantly echoed into the waking state. More times than not the brain then focuses on the end results rather than the path to achieve that result. This can be a good or bad thing.
Learning how to control your daydreams so your mind doesn't wonder, can take awhile. An important step to learning this control starts with making sure the mind is totally clear of all thoughts, desires, hate or problems before you start daydreaming. Clearing your mind of thought can greatly help focus your daydreams into a positive direction.
When the day comes that you need calming inspiration, simply sit back, relax and clear your mind. Once you are calm, let your mind playfully drift towards what you want, need or desire and stay far away from negative thoughts or causes of problems. A proper daydream can almost feel like a refreshing nap, clearing the mind of clutter.
With the noisy and normally opinionated brain calm and quiet, your inner self can see past all the confusing tricks of the brain allowing your soul to find and create true inspiration.
